Our Story

Founded in 2012, Velvet & Vine emerged from a passion for bringing natural beauty into Toronto's event spaces. What started as a small workshop in the Distillery District has grown into a full-service decoration studio serving venues across the Greater Toronto Area.

Our approach combines traditional floral design techniques with contemporary installation methods. We work closely with local growers throughout Ontario's growing seasons, supplementing with carefully selected imports when specific varieties are needed. This allows us to offer both seasonal authenticity and reliable year-round service.

The name Velvet & Vine reflects our dual focus: the soft, organic textures of natural materials alongside the structural elegance required for formal events. We specialize in spaces where these elements come together, from downtown hotel ballrooms to countryside estate venues.

Over the years, we've developed relationships with venue coordinators, event planners, and catering teams across the region. These partnerships help us navigate the practical requirements of different spaces, from historic buildings with installation restrictions to modern venues with complex lighting systems.

Our studio maintains a working inventory of preserved materials, allowing for advance preparation on tight timelines. We also invest in proper storage for fresh materials and maintain climate-controlled transport to ensure quality from our suppliers to your venue.
